A Bit of Christmas Cheer from 1932

(There are a few racist elements which are best ignored. Perhaps we can view them as a part we would prefer to forget about the humor of the time. We have come a long way socially, I suppose, but as far as the art of animation is concerned, these were great days.)

Happy Christmas (from an atheist and violist btw!) Don't ever ignore or prefer to forget racism - say why it's bad and try to understand it's origins; and why whereas consecutive fifths there might always be a place for, racism there is not!
I'm grateful for your blog btw! Good New Year!

You are right. There is no place for racism, and no parenthetical "disclaimer" can render it less offensive than it is. Thank you for putting it so straightforwardly.

Happy New Year to you too.
