To the left, Ray Brown on bass and Buddy Rich at the drums.
The English horn player IS Mitch Miller.
The contractor as well, he booked the rest of the orchestra for the gig.
BTW: Ray Brown and Buddy Rich were the de facto house rhythm section for Norman Granz' Clef and Verve labels, which Bird was also under contract to at the time.
Bird LOVED his sessions with strings!
