Gender Equality and T-Shirt Size

I went online to order a T-shirt to support a cause I believe in strongly, and I couldn't help but noticing that there are sizes for "Women" and sizes for "Adults." Does that imply that the "Adults" are male? What does that imply about women? Hmmm . . .

I hope they fix this.

That’s pretty bad. You should let them know.

I'm a woman and I wouldn't read anything particularly negative into this. All it means is that the "Adult" t-shirts are unisex (and some women do prefer the loose, boxy man-style t-shirt) while the Women's t-shirts are shaped in such a way that only women (we trust!) would want to wear them. Perhaps they should be saying "Unisex" instead of "Adult" (although that might not make it sufficiently clear that these aren't children/youth sizes), but their solution is common and very clear.
