Music is a mystery for people who play it, write it, listen to it, and write about it. The only thing I can really do when I try to say something about music is assume.

Audio Musical Terms Dictionary
Wow. This Multimedia Music Dictionary from Virginia Tech is a pronouncing dictionary with audio clips of musical terms. It is a very useful tool, but it is also lots of fun to play with.
Oh wonderful, another dictionary! And I'm so glad to have followed Michael's link to you, since I've got several musicians in the family and seem to share quite a few of your interests. At the moment I'm reading Levitin's This Is Your Brain on Music, BTW.
I am active as a composer, a violist, a violinist, a recorder player, and as a teacher. I have been keeping this space in the blogosphere alive with assumptions about music (and assorted other things) since 2005.

This site will be really helpful to students and to anybody else concerned with getting pronunciation right.
