I did feel better, and the inflammation did go down. I enjoyed the challenges of vegan cooking, and was able to get a decent amount of protein from plant sources. I have to say that fear of the physical consequences of eating meat was all that was keeping me away for the last few years. I decided to take a leap of faith and become an omnivore again partially because I found that I needed more protein than I was getting, and I was tired of feeling tired as well as hungry between meals. Now I take fish oil to counteract inflammation, and I feel just fine.

B-12 is a definite concern. You can get high-quality sub-lingual B-12 from non-animal sources (it's artificial B-12) at good health food stores. I still take it every day.Elaine Finehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14248422399226824168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10680113.post-91372774890438652312014-04-27T14:06:44.117-05:002014-04-27T14:06:44.117-05:00So glad I just came across your blog. (Maybe I need to scroll back through your previous posts.) were you aware of a flattening of your appreciation for flavors before? Personally, I am getting worried about my b-12. Thanks again for your rich blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
