The Pianists Speak and Move

Two film clips from 1953: Yves Nat demonstrates how to play Chopin to a class of students (notice the subtle way everyone begins to move once he starts to play), and Alfred Cortot gives us his "inner text" while he plays Schumann's "The Poet Speaks."

Thank you, Elaine, more so for the Nat, which I hadn't seen. But I might mention, for the benefit of any followers who don't know either by appearance, that Nat does the Chopin, Cortot the Schumann. Have a lovely weekend -- lovely sunshine here in B.C.
