New York Philharmonic in Pyongyang

I have very mixed feelings about the The New York Philharmonic's state department visit to North Korea, but I'm certainly glad that they had the wisdom (and the opportunity) to take a music journalist who keeps a blog with them. I'm confident that Steve Smith will keep us all up to speed.

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra have recently returned from a tour of Holland. Okay, so it hasn't attracted the publicity of the New York Phil in North Korea but violinist David Chadwick has written a witty account of the tour on the BBC SSO's blog. Don't miss the Quotes of the Day:

Are there any recordings of "Une vision de Sainte Therese?"
